Yurt Camp (Nurata-Kyzil Kum desert)

∙ PROPERTY DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION: Nurata district, Kizil Kum desert, Aidarkul lake. The yurt camp is located near with Aidarkul lake. It was reconstructed in 2010. The camp offers 10 yurts, decorated with hand made carpets and sherdaks (felt rugs) of local craftsmen. Coloured patterns and chandeliers create unusual and festive atmosphere in yurts. Yurt camp is also equipped with fixed toilets, shower cubicles and a company yurt, where tourists can taste various dishes. Amenities of the camp Aidar include electricity.

Bukhara in History

Bukhara is one of the most ancient cities in Central Asia.
Long ago it was nicknamed as “Bukhoroi - sharif ” - “Noble Bukhara”.
The city is more than 2500 years old dating back to the Bukhara oasis (Sogdiana) mentioned in Avesta - the holy book of Zoroastranism.
As some sources say, the word Bukhara is taken Most of the monuments in this romantic Eastern city, which attracts tourists from all over the world, date back to the Middle Ages.
In the ancient past, the Bukhara oasis formed part of Sogdiana, a vast region of Central Asia which had been conquered by Alexandr of Macedon.
After seizing Samarkand, Alexandr spearheaded his legions deep into the Bukhara oasis.

Guests and travelers are offered an Uzbek dinner, consisting of Uzbek dishes such as plov, dimlama, mastova, and manti. All dishes are very delicious and fresh. They are offered to guests straight off the fire, and of course you will be treated to Oriental sweets and Oriental hospitality. Every day the folklore concert begins in the evening. Under the glow of the sunset, calm Uzbek music can be heard. A soloist of the consort gives a demonstration of Uzbek musical instruments: the doyra, gijak, soz, chang, nay and others. The dance ensemble "Bukhorcha" pleases audiences with performances of various National dances. The repertoire is very interesting, as Uzbekistan is a multiethnic country, and the whole program is arranged accordingly: Uzbek national dances, Khorezm national dances, Ferghana national dances, and then Tajik and Arabic dances. In the pauses between dances, the fashion house "Ovaciya" showcases its elegant collections. Their dresses combine modern trends and Asian traditions.

Departure to the Aydarkul Lake (picnic and free time)

Aydarkul Lake– is a large closed lake in northern-east part of Uzbekistan, is an artificial water basin in Aydar-Arnasa system of the lakes occupying a total area of 4000 km ². The system includes three lakes with saltish water (actually Aydarkul, Arnasay and Tuscan). Area of Aydarkul lake has good facility for rest, the pedestrian walks and trips astride horses and camels. Aydarkul Lake is capable to admire and fascinate the most tempted, many fine places seeing on earth. Picnic on the bank of lake.

Road to Samarkand – desert will be slowly changing to mountains, where from ancient times holy hermits found own shelter. You are now entering into territory of oases and Afrosiyab hills. Samarkand – capital of Amir Temur’s Empire and his grandson Mirzo Ulugbek, city beloved by poet Omar Khayam.

Samarkand in Histrory

Samarkand, city in east-central Uzbekistan that is one of the oldest cities of Central Asia.
Known as Maracanda in the 4th century bce, it was the capital of Sogdiana and was captured by Alexander the Great in 329 bce.
The city was later ruled by Central Asian Turks (6th century ce), the Arabs (8th century), the Sāmānids of Iran (9th–10th century), and various Turkic peoples (11th–13th century) before it was annexed by the Khwārezm-Shāh dynasty (early 13th century) and destroyed by the Mongol conqueror Genghis Khan (1220).
After it revolted against its Mongol rulers (1365), Samarkand became the capital of the empire of Timur (Tamerlane), who made the city the most important economic and cultural centre in Central Asia.
