DAY 1

Pulkovo Arrival New Terminal

• THE NEW TERMINAL: The new terminal will serve up to 17 million passengers annually and uniting the newly constructed building and its northern passenger waiting area with the current Pulkovo I terminal (under renovation from January 2014). The building consists of 3 levels connected by escalators, staircases & elevators. The ground floor will house the arrivals and baggage claim areas. Glass skylights and geometric panels contribute to the visual impact of the terminal. The airport’s new 5-kilometer-long automatic baggage system that can process up to 4,800 pieces an hour eliminating needs for ground personnel. The new terminal is equipped with 8 air bridges, which will expand to 14 after the renovation of Pulkovo I (one-third of passengers will be shuttled to their planes via bus). The new terminal will be equipped with 110 passport control desks and 88 check-in desks.
• IMMIGRATION: Immigration Forms will be filled in automatically at the immigration and will be stamped upon arrival and should be registered in the hotel and submitted upon departure at Immigration. Passport & Immigration Forms will be collected upon hotel check-in and could retrieved the same evening or the following morning at the reception.
• CUSTOMS: Customs forms should be filled in for arrival & departure if carrying currency over USD 3000 (for foreigners) and in order to bring cash back upon departure (forms should be stamped by the customs at the Red Line "Goods To Declare"). • DECRIPTION: In order to make the arrival of the group impressive & reduce the time in traffic a Russian police car will lead and clear the way with blue lights on. On route you will hear the honking from the police car and occasionally commands to clear the way through loud speakers and microphones in the police car. Check-In at the hotel

• DESCRIPTION: Regular Check-In: Please ensure that every passenger has the passport and Immigration card in their hand upon arrival as these will be handed in at the reception desk. Every room has to sign for their respective registration and usually also a print of the Credit Card for extra charges if not accepted to the master bill of the organizer or ground handler in advance. The immigration document must be officially registered and passport kept at the reception until the evening or the following morning what is convenient. Please note that the Immigration card will be delivered upon departure and without registration at the hotel or at "Ovir" - complications will appear at the Passport / Border Point and a fine will usually apply and needed to be paid at the consular point of the airport.
• HOSPITALITY CHECK-IN (pre-ordered): Pre-registered rooms and private check-in for Incentive groups at the separate hospitality desk if confirmed and requested in advance. Please ensure that every passenger have the passport and Immigration card in their hand upon arrival. Keys from the rooms will be sorted in alphabetical order of the clients and displayed on a dedicated desk/ area. • REGISTRATION: According to Russian Immigration Policy, each person, entering Russian Federation should be register in OVIR (Visa and Register Department) within 72 hours (3 days). After the check in, the hotel will make registration. Registration stamp will put on a paper attached to the visa, saying that you are register for living at the hotel for the exact period of time.

• Bread & Salt Ceremony

• BACKGROUND: The Traditional Russian Welcome Ceremony with Russian Bread Karavay & Salt. This is one of the oldest Russian traditions in the countryside to greet dear guests with freshly baked bread and the precious salt. It originated as a folk custom in western Russia. As a sign of hospitality, when the emperor or empress visited their towns, merchants and gentry would present a loaf of bread placed on a round dish covered with an embroidered towel. A cellar of salt was placed on top of the bread or set in a hole cut into the top of the bread. The ceremony also was used prior to the marriage of a landowner when he traveled to each village on his estate, introducing his new bride to the peasants. The ceremony symbolized that the couple would never be without the necessities of life. Nowadays, it is popular to welcome official guests while national festivities, government receptions, openings of new exhibition and entertainment centers. It is interesting to note that upon his return to Russia on May 27, 1994, Alexander Solzhenitsyn was greeted with the traditional bread and salt.
• DESCRIPTION: A couple (man and woman) dressed in Russian national, folklore costumes is serving round Bread & Salt, while a musical band (folklore trio) is playing and singing. Ice Check-In

• DESCRIPTION: The guests will be getting the keys for the hotel rooms in ice cubes, including small bottles of vodka and matryoshka dolls. In order to take the keys and vodka out the delegates will need to work on it- by means of small hammer, provided per each person, the ice cubes should be smashed. This very eccentric, ice check-in can be combined with welcome cocktail at the hotel, balalaika trio band accompaniment and bread & salt welcome.
• COMMENTS: Along with the an impressive impact and unforgettable memories from the check-in for the guests, this idea makes sense to enable the luggage distribution in the hotel's rooms. • DESCRIPTION: A walk through the town at a quick pace looking for clues and parts of a disappeared formula. With the iPads or mobile devices, received by each team the instructor will not only navigate teams on their way, but also help them to collect pieces of information and clues. It will succumb to your talents and communication skills, your logic and sharp mind, initiative and your ability to work together as a team travelling around the city, making photos, following the clues. Common practice is for the participants to communicate with locals, both unsuspecting and assistants placed being prepared for it . Sometimes finding them in public places interview them and sometimes the goal is to persuade as much by-passers as possible to join your team for a while and make a group photo with a company logo. You will sampling local food, looking for secret codes in authentic cafés, browsing for the most interesting souvenir. The iPad will assist the participants not to forget about the main features of the place.

• DESCRIPTION: An extravagant combination of treasure hunt and city orienteering. The vehicles are good old Soviet Volga’s driven by true Russian chauffeurs who master the streets but not that much of English (at least by first appearance…). Each team accumulates points by performing humorous tasks, solving extraordinary problems, acquiring unusual items and communicating with the locals. The task is to find the correct route amongst the great St Petersburg sights with the help of good faith, city map (in Russian, of course) and spontaneous support of helpful passers-by. The route takes the rallying teams also to sights rarely visited by tourists. During the afternoon the city will not just get a face but also a pulsing heart! The timetable allowing everyone will also get time for shopping and sightseeing leisurely.

The Winter Palace - playing the leading architectural role - was the residence of the Russian Czars, that was built to the design of Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli. The Winter Palace was built in 1762 for Empress Elizabeth, the daughter of Peter the Great. Many of the palace’s impressive interiors have been remodeled after 1837, when a huge fire destroyed most of the building. The Hermitage Museum is the largest art gallery in Russia and is among the largest and most respected art museums in the world. The basic display areas of the Hermitage occupy 365 rooms in the Main Museum Complex. The Winter Palace, the Small Hermitage, the Old Hermitage and the New Hermitage display the collections of monuments of culture and art of the ancient world, Western Europe, Russia and the countries of the Orient, as well as archaeological and numismatic collections. The palace-and-park ensemble of Czarskoye Zelo - former country residence of Russian emperors - is a fascinating monument of the world's architectural and gardening arts of the XVIII-XIX centuries. • DESCRIPTION: Stations can be organized in suitable outlets with total privatization of the place. Stations are dedicated to different elements of Russian life as: Russian Folk Dance; Cooking Class of Russian Cuisine; Matreshka Doll Painting; Poem Reading; Balalaika Demonstration Class; Before, between or during dinner or lunch guests are told about the specialty of each station, instructed about the location of each station and invited to pass through each station within 40 min time.
• STATIONS SET UP:
- Matreshka Doll Painting Class: Artists dressed in national costumes. Tables prepared: on the tables there are paints and the dolls models to be painted. Balalaika Group is playing on the background. Guests receive short introduction of the history and what they are going to do and start painting the dolls under the supervision of the artists. Fencing has always been regarded as more than a sport; it is an art form, an ancient symbol of power and glory, and a deeply personal, individual form of expression. Fencing is and always has been an intrinsic part of life, from the dueling and battle of yore to the widely captivating movies and facets of popular culture such as Zorro and The Princess Bride. Fencing lesson giving basic skills of this activity. The author of this program is world famous trainer Rosa Toisova. The guests always enjoy the training, tell about this experience to friends and colleagues, show video films with training, photos in the sport equipment and proudly keep all rewards.
• COMMENTS: Fencing lessons are held by experienced trainers, special sport field, all necessary equipment, sportive weaponry, uniform are provided. Guests arrive to sport complex, where they have the two hours fencing lesson. At the end of the lesson they are able to participate in competition with each other and trainers, as a result they receive certificates and prizes. • Master-class in Canal Rowing

• DESCRIPTION: St Petersburg is called «Venice of the North» and it is a great opportunity to be on the water of one of the numerous city canals or Small Neva River. During this program it is possible to develop the team spirit and to choose the real team winners. «International Baltic Center» organizes rowing boats in the defined area of Bolshaya Nevka down from the Ushakov Bridge. There are 3 Captain Gigs – copies of Historical 10-oars participating in the Rowing. There are 3 rowing boats for 9 people and 3 boats taking: 3 boats of 14 People, consisting of 9 guests becoming oarsmen, 1 additional guest becoming reservist, 1 interpreter and 3 professionals from the racing center. Each boat will have a professional instructor. The race can be organized in a quiet area - Rowing Canal. 3 boats can have a race at a time. Others are watching the race and then they switch. Totally it will be about 3 hours, for the race and instructions of each shift.
• SCENARIO: Rowing is organized for taking into consideration dilettantes only: Show of professionals (10:00–10:30), Dilettantes racing (10.30–12.45). 1The Rowing is handled according to the rules of Atlantic Challenge International Contest of Historical Seamanship. The distance for dilettantes is – 350 meters only straight. On the coast we create the infrastructure necessary for the rowing: mooring – booms & ladders for boats approaching and embarkation of the team; «tents» for dress changing of the team; Judicial posts: on the line of lower buoys finish line is for dilettantes. On the line of upper buoys is start line for dilettantes; Bio-toilets. Laps of dilettantes and handled on the following scheme: In advance the group is divided on the teams of 10 pax each. Each participant has the number of the lap and name of the boat.
• SCHEDULE: Teams of each lap with interpreters come to the boats, in each boat there are 3 members of professional team (from International Racing Center): steersman, oarsman, lookout (for mooring maneuvers and for the help in gathering of oars); 9 persons from the team become oarsmen, 1 – reservist and interpreter are accommodated in stern; Boats unmoor from the bank and anchor, Steersman makes briefing; The boats start moving to the beginning of the race – row 750 meters up stream, assimilate rowing technique; Start signal is given, boats make whole race in racing regime downstream. St. Petersburg has several department stores, which offer a varying selection of goods and services. Three of the larger and more popular department stores (Bolshoi Gostiny Dvor, Grand Palace and the Passage) are all conveniently located within a few minutes’ walk from each other in the city center.
• COMMENTS: Many stores accept credit cards accept only rubles that you can buy at a number of conveniently located currency exchange points (obmenni punkti) throughout the city. • DESCRIPTION: The Yusupov Palace acquired its present appearance in the course of palace’s constructions from 1760 till 1850 done by the famous architects of the time. The building belonged to the Yusupov family. The staterooms in neoclassical style are remarkable for their rich and elegant decoration. The unique West European works of art as well as musical instruments of the 19th century adorn the palace interior. The gem of the palace is the unique Domestic Theater built in the Baroque style as a miniature of the world-known Mariinsky Theater. The palace has a historical meaning since the night of 16-17 December 1916, when Gregory Rasputin, who was very close to the family of Emperor Nicholas II, was murdered here by a group of monarchists, including Prince Felix Yusupov. The exhibition dedicated to Gregory Rasputin is set up in the original rooms where the tragedy took place.
• The price for the gala function, specified below is valid till midnight (24:00). Supplement for after midnight hours is EUR 700 per each hour. • DESCRIPTION: Located on the second floor of the Palace between Nicolaevsky Hall and Small Rotonda Hall directly on the way to the Theater. The doors are made red wood and decorated with gilded bronze. The name "Preziosa" is translated from Italian as "Precious Room". But in spite of the title it looks very elegant and strict. The interior was done at the end on the XIX century by the Russian Architect Stepanov. The room can be used for Cocktails before the Theater or Gala-Dinner for up to 150 guests standing (165 sq.m).

• DESCRIPTION: House No. 33 in Galernaya street belonged to S.P. von Derviz (rebuilt in 1885-90, architect P.P. Schreiber), and presently holds the Saint-Petersburg-Opera theatre. The mention was built in the middle of the 19th century with fantastic interiors and located in the historical part of the city. The vestibule of the mansion is as it was when the property was last redesigned by A. Maximov. It is neo-classical in style. The upper vestibule and gallery are embellished with rococo motifs. With its glass ceiling, the Conservatory was designed to resemble an enchanted grotto. The room now plays host to soirees of chamber music and concerts to piano accompaniment- can be used also for the sit down dinner and standing receptions up.
• CAPACITY: The room is 240 m2. Sit down dinner: 140 people, Standing reception: 200 people.

TBA Pulkovo Departure New Terminal

• THE NEW TERMINAL: While all passengers traveling through Pulkovo will use the new terminal for check-in, international passengers will wait for their flights on the third floor of the new terminal. Domestic passengers will continue to depart from Pulkovo I once renovation has been completed. The building consists of 3 levels connected by escalators, staircases & elevators. The airport’s new 5-kilometer-long automatic baggage system that can process up to 4,800 pieces an hour eliminating needs for ground personnel. The new terminal will be equipped with 8 air bridges, which will expand to 14 after the renovation of Pulkovo I (one-third of passengers will be shuttled to their planes via bus). The new terminal will be equipped with 110 passport control desks and 88 check-in desks.
• PASSPORT: Prior to the hotel check-out please ensure that all passports and Immigration Forms that was initially stamped by immigration and hotel registration have been collected. Customs forms declared and stamped upon arrival should be originals only and declared in Red Channel (bringing back more than USD 1.500 or equivalent). Transfer from the city approx. 45 minutes - 1 hour depending on traffic. If combining the departure with an excursion to Pavlosk / Pushkin the transfer time will be approx. 20-30 minutes (all depending on traffic). Departure from the hotel 3 hours prior departure time or as agreed.
• DEPARTURE: Security check with X-ray for suitcases & hand luggage as well as personal security check prior entering the Departure Gate.
