• Moscow is the biggest city in Europe and the Capital of Russian Federation founded in 1147. The official birthday is celebrated on the first weekend of September (September 4th) with fireworks and manifestation in the center and Tveskaya Street. The population has grown from a million people in the beginning of 1900 to 12 million people. The city covers an area of 1,100 km2 (683 miles2) with a city border of 109 km (67 miles). There are 3.500 streets covering a total of 4.535 km (2817 miles). The longest street is Warshavskoe Prospect and the shortest one is Lazy Street. There are 1.290 traffic lights and 424 underground passages and more than 3 million vehicles registered. The Moscow Metro is the 5th largest as per the amount of stations and covers 292 km (181 miles) of lines and more than 150 stations and transports more than 9.5 million passengers yearly. 3 airports (Shermemetievo, Vnukovo and Domodedovo handling more than 13 million passengers with direct flights connecting Moscow to 112 countries. • LOCATION & DESCRIPTION: One of the most spectacular Halls in Moscow with a daily show, located in Leningradsky Prospect (a continuation of Tverskaya Street to the North), in about 20 minutes drive from the city center. The main Yar Hall is located in Sovietsky Hotel with separate entrance to foyer with cloakroom, a separate banquet room and a huge lobby bar. The show is a classical cabaret variety entertainment and takes a place in the main Yar Hall. With slightly changes, its program includes various dance and acrobatic elements with Russian touch and folklore. • LOCATION: The Artist Gallery Restaurant is situated in the building of the Tsereteli Art Gallery, a beautiful mansion of the late 18-th century, close to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The restaurant is a marvelous place decorated with frescos, bronze bas-reliefs and mosaics of the famous Russian sculptor Zurab Tsereteli. The restaurant consists of 5 halls, each of which boasts its unique interior: 1) The Flower Hall (30 seats) is decorated with colorful posters of Tsereteli’s works on the walls and the ceiling; 2) The Bronze Hall (20 seats) is made in the moderate colors of the oriental engraving; 3-4) The Slavic (20 seats) and Italian (30 seats) Halls are decorated with the paintings of the famous Moscow artists, created under with direction of the monumentalist E.N. Maksimov and V.P. Psarev. 5) Winter Garden Hall (870 sq. m., capacity of 140 pax without balcony (or max. 14 round tables of 10 pax seating each), and 100 extra seats capacity with balcony, total capacity of the hall is 240 seats) is a magnificent 2-level hall with the high transparent ceiling and picturesque trees, an ideal venue for a gala-dinner. All the halls boast the “castle” furniture with high backs and carved fly glassed tables made in France on the author’s project.

• The Moscow Kremlin is the chief architectural ensemble of the city. Along the South wall of the Kremlin, overlooking the Moscow River, you will find the Grand Kremlin Palace. Within the Kremlin there is a Cathedral Square, the so-called "City of God". The famous Tsar Bell and Tsar Cannon are there, too. Six buildings, including 3 three enormous cathedrals edge the square. Most of them, the work of Italian architects during the late 15th and early 16th Century.The Armory building built in 1851 as a factory for making weapons nowadays houses a museum, in which an enormous collection of Russian national treasures, including the famous Fabergé eggs, carriages, cookware, jewelry, etc. is on display. The State Historical Museum is located outside the walls. Entry fee includes the visit to the Kremlin Territory and 3 cathedrals. Additional fee is for the Armory visit.

• TYPE OF CUISINE: The local menu was elaborated by Alan Yau, the only chef, who was awarded with two Michelin stars for Asian cuisine. But restaurant's menu is not limited only by Asian cuisine (which is, by the way, adopted to European traditions) - a wide choice of European dishes is available and represented by one of the best French chefs with 3 Michelin stars. Talking about local food, a dish in Turandot is more than just a food - it is a true culinary masterpiece. Not to mention an excellent service.

• DESCRIPTIONS: It is probably the best-known cloister of Moscow. Its name, sometimes translated as the New Maidens' Monastery, was devised to differ from an ancient maidens' convent within the Moscow Kremlin. Unlike other Moscow cloisters, it has remained virtually intact since the 17th century. In 2004, it was proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For 400 years the Novodevichy Convent was the witness and the participant of important historical events, connected with the names of Ivan the Terrible, Boris Godunov, Sofia and Peter I. The architectural ensemble of the convent was formed by the end of 17th century and till now remains one of the best in Russia. In the main, Smolensk Cathedral, there is a valuable wall fresco of 16th century and a magnificent carved iconostasis with icons of famous imperial masters of that time. Representatives of noble families and tsar relatives, the hero of the Patriotic war of 1812 D.V.Davydov, the writer I.I.Lazhechnikov, the historian S.M. Solovyev and others are buried on the convent territory.

• DESCRIPTION: The main Cathedral of Russia - Christ the Saviour Cathedral barbarously destroyed on December 5, 1931, has been rebuilt in 1994-2000 with joint work of architects, builders, as well as artists and sculptors, who reconstructed artistic beauty of the Cathedral. Construction was sponsored by Moscow Government and citizens. Located in very heart of Moscow the Cathedral is a perceptible memorial to the battle of the Russian people against the Napoleonic hordes. The names of the renowned heroes, whom God chose as instruments to save His people are engraved on marble boards in the main gallery of the Cathedral.

DESCRIPTIONS: Sapsan is a high-speed train, operated by Russian railways. In December 2009 the Sapsan train ran its first journey between Moscow and St. Petersburg, and from July 2010 it also runs on the route St. Petersburg - Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod and back. The journey to Moscow takes 3 hours and 45 minutes. Train Sapsan is capable of speeding up to 350 km / hr, but the Russian railways is limited in its speed only up to 250 km. / hr. Because of it in 1918 the town was renamed to Detskoye Zelo (Children's Village).

• Pulkovo Airport (LED) is an international airport serving St. Petersburg. It consists of two terminals, Pulkovo-1 (serving mostly domestic flights) and Pulkovo-2 (international flights), which are located about 20 km (12 mi) and 17 km (11 mi) south of the city center, on the way to Pushkin and Pavlovsk. It takes approximately from 45 min to 1 hour to go from city center to the airport, depending on traffic situation. Pulkovo 2 airport was renovated and rebuilt for the 300 years anniversary in 2003.
