Baikal Ice Golf International Festival
4 Feb 2016
When the rest of the world enjoys playing golf in summer, on a meticulously trimmed lawn, Russia offers you a unique opportunity to play this wonderful sport on ice… on the deepest lake in the world… in the middle of Siberia… surrounded by wild nature.
Sounds terrifying, but do not worry, the nature may be wild, but the conditions for our guests meet the highest standards. The organizers’ committee has 11 years of experience of holding the festival and will welcome the guests with the top level accommodation, wonderful Siberian and Buryat cuisine, live ethnic music etc. After all, Baikal lake is named the best ecotourism destination in Russia, and one of the most beautiful places with untouched nature and pristine environment.
Every day of the festival will be full of dynamic entertainment – guests will go on a tour around the most beautiful sites and to a distant Siberian village where they will get the first-hand experience of the the aboriginal inhabitants’ life style – Buryat people. Shaman will tell them about the spirit of Baikal, they will try herbal infusions, attend various master classes and workshops.
The guests will be residing at the coast of the biggest bay of Baikal, the bay of Maloye Morye. The chosen recreational facilities offer comfortable accommodation in well-designed and cozy hotel rooms. One can also choose to stay in detached houses. You can be sure to enjoy a good rest at the end of each day. The participants will be staying in single rooms with double beds. The menu is based on Russian cuisine, Baikal tea and herbal infusions. All the objects of recreational facilities are located within walking distance.
The festival lasts for 7 days (6 nights) – from March 15 till March 20, 2016, and it offers different packages for participation – for 1 680 EUR per person and for 2 600 EUR per person. It is a unique opportunity for an untraditional and memorable incentive program that would be a shame
